I decided to do a summary of Goal 2 in english. (The prologue seemed too long, I am lazy!) Thanks to Shinji for his french summaries. I tried to translate from his french but there are some of the things I find it difficult to translate to or I don't understand it very well so I left them all. Feel free to tell me if anything more can be improved. I know this is far from perfect. So any language suggestions are welcomed.

It all takes place during the press conference in Japan aimed at keeping the media updated about the Olympic team. (On which Road to 2002 was concluded)... The team's supervisor is Kira Kozo... Journalists are baffled at this decision. Why is this unknown man leading Japan's U-22 when Japan had won the World Youth with Gamo? Kira cuts the hubbub by feigning to cough. Two Journalists, Nozaki and Tajima, on the contrary knows him well: Kira Kozo was the person who coached Meiwa and trained several players on the beaches of Okinawa. He had revealed 3 young players: Hyuga, Wakashimazu, et Sawada.
Posted Image
Instead of talking, Kira searches for something in his suit... Then, in a flashback in Okinawa, we can see Kira's finishing his last beer before it rejoins the rest of the trash he left on the floor... All of a sudden, he takes a paintbrush and starts writing something!
Posted Image
He then reveals the word he had written is "abstinence" which can be interpreted in two ways... The first one would be to stop his drinking habits... In fact, he then explains that the Olympic Games was his first and without any doubt, the last biggest challenge of his career! He decided he will stick to this way of life till Japan wins the Gold medal! The journalists are a bit disconcerted. Of course, they don't know Kira so they don't really realize the real sacrifice that Kira was prepared to commit. As for the Olympic team, Kira will have to prove himself against Denmark's and Nigeria's U-22 during two friendlies while waiting for the qualifications. The current olympic team consists of more than 30 members that will have to prove themselves to be admitted in the team. Katagiri decides to intervene concerning the identity of the members... He precises that it's evident that Tsubasa, at Barcelona, Wakabayashi in Germany, Hyuga lended by Juventus to Reggiana, Akai to the Sampdoria and Aoi to Albese don't really need to prove themselves anymore since they are already recognized players. Kira declares that these 5 members, although they won't be able to participate in the test matches because of their clubs, will be welcomed in the team.
Posted Image
Katagiri then asks him who are the 30 players of the team, but Kira decides not to answer et instead tells Katagiri that they will be called to the "J-Village". After announcing this message, the journalists panicked: Misaki, Matsuyama, Misugi, Wakashimazu... Will they be part of it?
Afterwards, we find ourselves with Tsubasa and Sanae at Barcelona, on the beach. Tsubasa is juggling with the ball as always while Sanae, on her computer, gets attracted to some news and calls Tsubasa... While Sanae explains to him the objective of the Olympic team, Tsubasa instantly knew that this was a challenge for the Golden Generation!
Posted Image
After that scene with Tsubasa and Sanae, we find ourselves again in Japan at the J-Village where a lot of spectators awaited eagerly the arrival of the players. At their arrival, a lot of them are relieved: Misaki, Matsuyama, Sano, Misugi, Jito, Wakashimazu, Nitta, The Tachibana brothers, Sorimachi, Sôda, Izawa, Taki, Kisugi, Takasugi, Ishizaki etc... The members of the Golden Generation are present! :banzai: Urabe and Nakanishi are here as well!
Posted Image
They find out too about the presence of the 5 players that formed part of the RJ7. They were the sparring partners of Japan during the World Youth. They were too old to participate back then. Now these players have the required age for the olympic games...
Kira welcomes all these players, of which the first challenge would be to get in the definite selection... Misaki really wants to be part of it as a member of the Golden Generation after having forfeited the majority of the matches because of his wound. He wants to accompany the team till the end to win the golden medal. The "brave heart", Misugi who managed to win over his sickness, has for objective to always stay on the field and Matsuyama hopes to be able to see Tsubasa, Wakabayashi and Hyuga again and will work really hard for it.
Posted Image
Wakashimazu will fight for the position of the goalkeeper. Every player wants to be selected or even become among the regular members in the team, like the Tachibanas! But the public then have their eyes on two persons running on the field. Impossible! The 30 members are already present! (31 to be exact, but everyone knows that the Tachibana twins count for 1 :bingo: ) Who are these guys then?
